Behind the face
I painted these portraits during the most isolating period of the pandemic. The pandemic gave me more time and freedom to play as it was more apparent how life is fragile and tentative. I was exploring the ideas of loneliness, isolation, fear, and joy using texture, pattern, and landscape elements to express emotion.
